Web - Overview

Flightnet 2.0 is so new that couldn't update this page yet. Therefore the description refers to the previous version.

Easy usage
Flightnet WWW access is aimed at the average internet user who knows how to use a browser - but not more.

All you need to access FLIGHTNET.AERO is a computer with a HTML 3.0-compatible browser (with acitvated cookies and Javascript) and an internet connection .

Reservations on a view
On the left side you always see the menu and on the right side the detailed information of the selected menu point (e.g. reservations overview).
An adaptive menu is included. All available aircrafts - or those for which the pilot is rated - are listed in a treeview list. The remaining menu content changes depending on users permissions. Many commands are available to the managers only.

Several reservation levels
You can enter as many aircraft types and reservation categories as necessary. Pilots can only manage their own reservations, while office users can easily schedule flights for any pilot.
There are different reservation levels:
1. Normal reservation
2. Standby reservation (waiting list)
3. Reservation request (reservation is only valid if confirmed by the office, optional). This allows your commercial flights to have priority over private flights. Can be activated per aircraft.

Standby:
Standby reservation => aircraft becomes available => changed to normal reservation

Reservation request:
reservation request by user => reservation is confirmed by office=> normal reservation,
if not confirmed => no reservation

Notification by email or SMS
The pilot gets an email or SMS - depending on the settings - as confirmation of aircraft reservation or cancellation, or if he's on the standby list and the aircraft becomes available.
Instructors get a separate email or sms if they are booked for a flight lesson.

Account management
To manage a users' account, you just have to open the user window and you can edit all his data (address, phone, settings, notes) on one view.
Users can modify their own adress data to keep the record current or change email or sms notification settings.

Welcome page with news
In the welcome page (right after the login) your users will see your latest news. Office users and administrators additionaly see an overview of recent reservation data (latest reservations, maintenance data etc.) .

The administrators can easily modifiy the systems settings, e.g. the usage of SMS, standby list, type ratings, reservation limits etc.

.
